We are different. We don't make "one trick" ponies. We use real life situations to promote a natural relationship between you and your horse where confidence, trust, comfort and fun are our own main goals. What we really do is help folks establish a responsive, and calm relationship and to develop their own horses into whatever they may desire. Obviously by our title we focus on the old California way of doing things, that is going from the hackamore through to the bridle in a slow, dignified and understanding way so that the horse never doubts the trust he has in his rider.

We are still accepting horses for training, and and all, no matter what the problem, and our number one desire is to help you help your horse.

We desire our horses to be trained, skilled, and savvy in the areas of stock horse type functions:

- Roping - This includes a desire to be around cattle, savvy of the rope and its uses, and confidence in stressful situations.

- Handling cattle - this includes becoming savvy of what cattle do in any given situation, being able to contril the cow using the cow and its own natural herd and flight zone instincts.

- Covering rough terrain - this includes being able to make a "big circle" gathering cattle and all the things it entails.

- Western comperition - applying all of the above skills into different competitive arenas.

In addition to helping folks get along better with their horses generally, we can help folks reach any skill level listed above if they so desire.
